Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced accountant or CPA to support our organization in key financial management areas. The ideal candidate will have expertise in nonprofit bookkeeping, tax return preparation, internal financial controls, budgeting, and financial reporting. Your contributions will ensure our financial operations are efficient, transparent, and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Key Needs:
Nonprofit Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Tax Return Preparation: Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns (Form 990) and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Internal Financial Controls: Develop and implement internal financial controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure financial integrity.
Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monitor expenditures, and provide financial forecasts to support organizational planning.
Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial statements and reports for the board of directors, ensuring clarity and transparency.
Suggested Qualifications:
Licensed accountant or CPA with experience in nonprofit financial management.
Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Quickbooks Online accounting software and financial management tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
